Wrinkle Relaxers

Elevate your look with Anti Wrinkle Injections

Wrinkle Relaxers use Anti wrinkle injections to relax muscles, erasing wrinkles for a fresh, more youthful appearance.

Wrinkle Relaxers are a medical procedure that should be performed in a controlled medical environment. At SKYN your procedure will be carried in a properly controlled clinical environment. It takes just 10-15 minutes to relax crows feet, forehead lines and frowns – with results that can last up to 5 months before your top-up is due, this is especially effective for:

  • Crows feet
  • Forehead lines
  • Lifting your eyebrows
  • Bunny lines
  • Chin dimples
  • Upper lip lines
  • Jawline slimming (masseter reduction)
  • Lip Flip

    How do Wrinkle Relaxers Work?

Wrinkle relaxers are used as an anti-wrinkle treatment. When we laugh or frown our brain sends a signal to our muscles to make expression lines appear on our face. Using this injection treatment, the potent muscle relaxant smooths out the expression lines, lessening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Say, for example you had a frown line you wished to get rid of. To treat this, the wrinkle relaxer is injected into the muscles surrounding the brow area. The way the wrinkle relaxer works is that it blocks the signals from the nerve to the facial muscles to stop them contracting, leaving the skin looking smooth.

At your consultation, our Talent will examine your facial muscles to determine where to administer the anti-wrinkle injections. Several tiny injections will then be precisely injected into the muscles that cause the frown lines.

No anaesthesia is needed, though ice may be used to numb the area before and after your treatment.

More information on SKYN's Wrinkle Relaxer Treatments

Where can wrinkle relaxers be used?
Anti wrinkle injections (or wrinkle relaxers) are commonly used for frown lines, forehead lines, fine lines, crows feet, smokers lines, bunny lines, jaw slimming, teeth grinding and hyperhidrosis.
How long does a treatment take?
This is a simple and quick process lasting approximately 10 minutes, but no longer than half an hour. It involves no downtime so there is no disruption to your lifestyle.
    When will I see results?
In three to ten days, you should see a marked improvement in moderate to severe lines. Lines continue to improve for up to a month, and results can last up to four months. In clinical trials, nearly 90% of men and women rated the improvement in their appearance as moderate to better one month after treatment
Will my facial expressions continue to look natural?
Although the results are visible, wrinkle treatments will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look “frozen” or as if you “had work done.” The muscle activity that causes the dynamic wrinkles is simply reduced. Clients often report being told they look friendlier, more open and approachable without the frowns and furrows.
What will happen to the wrinkles if I don’t continue treatments?
Our anti-wrinkle injections work by temporarily blocking the signal between the nerve and the muscle which limits the amount of movement in that muscle for 3-4 months. Normal muscular movement is restored once the product has worn off. The result of the treatment is a more youthful, refreshed appearance with fewer wrinkles and lines.
