Terms and Conditions as at 7 June 2020.
On this page of the website, the term ‘SKYN’ (including ‘THE SKYN GROUP’, ‘SKYN for MEN’, ‘SKIN by SKYN’ and ‘SKYN® Talent’) or ‘our’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website, SKYN PTY LTD and entities within THE SKYN GROUP. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website, or the client as the context requires.

On our websites, the term Talent refers to our Talent, Nurses and Dermal Therapists.

Prices are subject to change and are only current at the date stated above.

Our Talent will determine the number of units needed to produce the results you desire at your consultation.

$600 for 1ml Premium Dermal Filler subject to product availability.

The product cannot be substituted.
Cosmetic injection clients must be deemed medically fit and suitable for treatment, following a consultation with our Talent.
Our Talent will determine the number of ml’s required to produce the results you desire.
Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.
Consultations are complimentary except under circumstances outlined below.

Consultations & Treatments

A $75 or $100 deposit is required to secure bookings for treatments with our nurses. This will be deducted off your treatment on the day. Booking deposits can be made:

  • When booking online skyn.com.au/appointment
  • by using this link https://shop.skyn.com.au/products/consultation-deposit
  • calling the clinic on 9389 9022 with your credit card details


All Saturday appointments require a $75 deposit.

SKYN Deep Skin Analysis appointments also require a $50 deposit.

48 hours notice is required for any changes to your appointment. If you reschedule your appointment within 48 hours, the deposit will be held for your new appointment. If you cancel your appointment with more than 24 hours notice,  the deposit will be held as a credit on your account.

‘No shows’ and cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will forfeit the deposit.

Clients must be deemed medically fit and suitable for treatment following a consultation. If deemed unsuitable for treatment, the deposit may be refunded.

Complimentary Consultations
Your initial consultation at SKYN is complimentary.

15 minute reviews are complimentary up to three weeks post your treatment. After three weeks a $75 non refundable fee will apply.

Larger Deposits for Some Treatments
Some procedures take more time or require us to make special preparations prior to your treatment. For these treatments, a 50% deposit is required upon booking after consultation.

A no-obligation consultation for these treatments will be conducted prior to booking to ensure you are fully informed about the procedure

Refund Policy 

SKYN has a 'no refund' policy on purchases of goods & services if you change your mind.  

Furthermore, our ‘no refund’ policy applies to medical procedures (including injectables) and dermal treatments and procedures.

Please note that our treatments, services and packages are not transferable to other individuals and they cannot be swapped for other treatments or services. Furthermore, appointment deposit fees are non-refundable but can remain on the system as a credit.

Introduction
Our practice is committed to best practice in relation to the management of information we collect. This practice has developed a policy to protect patient privacy in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (‘the Privacy Act’). Our policy is to inform you of:

the kinds of information that we collect and hold, which, as a medical practice, is likely to be ‘health information’ for the purposes of the Privacy Act;
how we collect and hold personal information;
the purposes for which we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information;
how you may access your personal information and seek the correction of that information;
how you may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles and how we will deal with such a complaint;
whether we are likely to disclose personal information to overseas recipients;
What kinds of personal information do we collect?
The type of information we may collect and hold includes:

Your name, address, date of birth, email and contact details
Medicare number , DVA number and other government identifiers, although we will not use these for the purposes of identifying you in our practice
Other health information about you including:
notes of your symptoms or diagnosis and the treatment given to you
your specialist reports and test results
your appointment and billing details
your prescriptions and other pharmaceutical purchases
your dental records (if relevant)
your genetic information (if relevant)
your healthcare identifier (if relevant)
any other information about your race, sexuality or religion, when collected by a health service provider. (if relevant)
In addition to the above information, we take before and after photographs of you, write file notes about your skin, your treatment, medical conditions and your leisure activities. For example, a customer who is frequently exposed to the sun may require extra care when managing their skin.

How do we collect and hold personal information?
We will generally collect personal information:

from you directly when you provide your details to us. This might be via a face to face discussion, telephone conversation, consent and registration forms online or on our iPads
from a person responsible for you
from third parties where the Privacy Act or other law allows it – this may include, but is not limited to: other members of your treating team, diagnostic centres, specialists, hospitals, the My Health Record system, electronic prescription services, Medicare, your health insurer, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme
Why do we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information?
In general, we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:

to provide services to you
to communicate with you via phone/SMS/email in relation to the service being provided to you to comply with our legal obligations, including, but not limited to, mandatory notification of communicable diseases or mandatory reporting under applicable child protection legislation.
to communicate with you via direct email marketing. You may opt out of direct marketing at any time by notifying us via the contact details below. All direct marketing also includes an unsubscribe link.
to help us manage our accounts and administrative services, including billing, arrangements with health funds, pursuing unpaid accounts, management of our ITC systems
for consultations with other Talent involved in your treatment program;
for identification and insurance claiming
How can you access and correct your personal information?
You have a right to seek access to, and correction of the personal information which we hold about you. There is a fee of $50 for this service.

How do we hold your personal information?
Our staff are trained and required to respect and protect your privacy. We take reasonable steps to protect information held from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes:

Privacy related questions and complaints

Anonymity and pseudonyms
The Privacy Act provides that individuals must have the option of not identifying themselves, or of using a pseudonym, when dealing with our practice, except in certain circumstances, such as where it is impracticable for us to deal with you if you have not identified yourself.

Overseas disclosure.
We no no disclose your personal information to overseas recipients unless you give us permission to, or ask us to do so.

This Policy will be reviewed from time to time to take account of new laws and technology, changes to our operations and other necessary developments. Updates can be found under our Privacy Policy on our website.

Google Ad settings

We use Google Analytics software to monitor the number of people visiting the website, which uses a cookie to collect this information. Google Analytics only collects anonymous aggregate data, i.e. we cannot tell who you are or link data back to a specific username, and everyone’s data is shown as a whole, not individually. We use this only for statistical purposes to tell us information like how many people are new to the site or have visited before and which pages are the most popular. In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.

If in our sole judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services (or any part thereof).
