Dermamelan Depigmentation treatment’s principal action is the reduction of discoloured patches of melanin on the face, neck, chest, hands or body.

In humans, melanin is the primary determinant of skin color. It is also found in hair, the iris of the eye, and various other areas of the body such as the brain. The melanin in the skin is produced by melanocytes, which are found in the basal, or bottom layer of the epidermis.

Dermamelan is what is known as a Tyrosinase Inhibitor, meaning it acts on an enzyme that is integral to the production of melanin. Thus, it blocks and can even invert this process.

Most often, this treatment yields results within a week after the professional treatment, with continued improvement for a month. What precautions must be undertaken before proceeding with dermamelan?

Please inform us if you have undergone any previous treatments, especially with glycolic acid. If confirmed, any treatment, especially Glycolic Acid, must be eliminated at least one week prior to commencing Dermamelan Depigmentation treatment.

The Dermamelan Depigmentation treatment initiated at the medical office must be continued at home, on a daily basis, according to the guidelines indicated. The treatment must not be interrupted under any circumstances, during the whole time prescribed. It is completely forbidden to combine the Dermamelan

Depigmentation treatment with other depigmentation treatments, as the appearance of undesired effects cannot be guaranteed.

Follow-up visits are recommended at 1 week post treatment, 2 weeks post treatment and 1 month post treatment.

You are required to have a consultation prior to treatment and if you choose to proceed a 50% deposit is required. Treatments cannot be performed on the same day as the initial consultation.
